Isaiah’s Coalition for Families began as a community outreach mission of Christian Woman Perspective Ministries. Inc. (CWP), a church addressing the spiritual needs of its congregation. In so doing, other needs within the community became apparent. As a result, CWP Ministries by its founder, formulated Isaiah’s Coalition for Families. ICF is a coalition of diverse community organizations and independent persons who utilize their services, resources and tools, collaboratively to strengthen the fight against domestic violence. Through ICF, we are meeting the need for social justice advocacy, community education for violence prevention and direct services for families surviving violence and abuse.
At ICF we work to implement strategic plans of action to further the reach for domestic violence prevention and provide restorative services for domestic violence survivors.
Here at ICF, we function within three distinct branches of service. They are social justice advocacy, community education and case mentoring services for families surviving violence and abuse. Each branch of service then encompasses diverse outreach programs that speak to the specific objectives of each area of 'DV' (domestic violence) prevention and restoration, under ICF.
All programs of service are directed by educated, experienced and/or licensed community partners who extend their resources to ICF in order to reach our goals within community. Click the appropriate link above to learn more about the distinct services offered through ICF.
ICF is a social justice advocacy and restorative care program for survivors and for community in the prevention of domestic violence in all of its counter-parts (child abuse, systemic abuse, elder abuse, sex abuse, etc.) Our program services include, but are not limited to: public speaking, hosting public forums, publication of domestic violence research based materials, violence prevention through education and training, social media campaigns, direct services, and executing our Nurturing Life Skills TM program.
The Nurturing Life Skills TM program is designed to provide restorative, life-building and healthy life-sustaining assistance to survivors. Through this program, we focus on such areas as financial management, job search, spiritual/physical wellness and parenting tips. Nurturing Life Skills TM is not limited to these areas, because we work very closely with ICF participants (survivors) to mentor specific needs.

Education is the means in which we extend the impact of domestic violence prevention by creating stakeholders within the community. We work to not only edify on 'what is domestic violence?', but in addition, scaffold individuals with empowerment of self as an advocates and with resources in order to spread awareness to appropriately advocate for survivors and continue to rebuild communities void of violence.
The Certification for Domestic Violence Advocacy (CDVA) , is the first of its kind, certification offered within the State of Wisconsin. The curriculum was developed in response to the community's need for culturally competent, core advocacy training; specifically designed to better assist the under represented, diverse communities within the City of Milwaukee. Unfortunately, it is these under represented communities that maintain the highest rate of domestic violence and domestic violence homicide within Milwaukee County, and the City of Milwaukee, in the State of Wisconsin.
The CDVA curriculum is based in extensive research and peer reviewed by higher education professionals to deliver a quality assured CDVA program. This certification is being implemented in collaboration with Springfield College-School of Human Service, Milwaukee, WI. Springfield's School of Human Service is nationally accredited with strong emphasis in human service professions; however, our CDVA program is not limited to professionals, but it is offered to strengthen the impact of training and deliverance of domestic violence prevention services to ALL stakeholders within the community. To receive a CDVA registration packet please contact our offices.

One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime, and what we know is the most dangerous time for an abused women is when she tries to leave and with her children. For many, without the economic resources they need, they cannot or choose not to leave, and many have died or their children as a result.
ICF, provides customized case-mentoring for direct services to survivors: safety planning, life-skills (financial, self-esteem, empowerment), and community education for domestic violence prevention. At ICF, we are the 'scaffold'or support system for survivors as they journey forward in a positive direction, rebuilding their lives and being restored.
